The giant waves of Nazaré in Portugal are known worldwide. However they are not consistent. They are formed only if some conditions are met, like a particular wind direction and of course a big swell.

Sea gulls are particularly active, sneaking through the foam and the giant rolls with grace and agility.

This picture taken by Romain is a representation of the raw power of the ocean.
