CAPTION
Every year billions of herrings migrate and gather in the fjords of Arctic Norway, followed by hundreds of predators trying to take advantage of these fat fish, including killer whales and humpback whales. Humpbacks coordinate together to feed on herrings by doing a lunge feeding, bringing up the fish by thousands then engulfing them at the surface.
This group of whales made a lunge feeding very close, allowing Cecile to take the picture.
